Vins et Volailles is run by a group of friends passionate about good food and wine. The project was founded by Fleur Godart, and it was yet after another quarrel over natural wine and feminism that she decided in 2020 to launch a range of "activist cuvées" in collaboration with renowned winemakers and friends such as Mathieu Coste, Athénais de Béru and Julien Albertus, just to name a few.
Their catalogue of free wines is composed of an exciting range of over a dozen labels. These are used as a medium or a ‘message in a bottle’ bringing certain matters to the table. Each bottle, curated with a unique artwork in collaboration with various artists, tells a compelling story, shedding light on issues of gender, race, and societal inequalities.
The fruit is sourced from all over the country covering regions like Alsace, Gaillac or Bordeaux. More recently they have also have also started collaborating with producers overseas such as Kamara Winery in Thessaloniki in Greece or 2Naturkinder in Franken, Germany.
The team is now composed of three dynamic members, Fleur, Maha and Alvin who despite their different backgrounds rejoice over a glass of wine.
Today, the ever dynamic range accounts for more than a dozen different labels, with fruit being sourced from all over the country and offering an incredible diversity of styles and expressions of terroir.
